Virgin Mobile USA recently announced revised rates for calls made to parts of Central and South America. Virgin's customers can make calls to Brazil and parts of Mexico, Venezuela, China, Hong Kong, Japan and Taiwan for only two cents per minute. Calls to Argentina, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Mexico, Bangladesh, India, South Korea and Thailand are five cents per minute. Virgin's customers now also have the ability to send a text message in Spanish and have it delivered as a voicemail in Spanish to a landline recipient.

I have a prediction about international rates & LTE

I've heard that when LTE becomes more widely deployed throughout the world that phone calls are going to be routed throught VOLP, and my prediction is that international phone calls will be considerably cheaper. I don't think this is going to happen any sooner than 2011.

OMG! This is great news!

I'm going running to get me a Virgin Mobile phone after work.
.02 cents per minute to calls to Vzla? Hell yeah! I wonder if it's only when you call a landline...
i think its .02 plus the normal rate
