Today Verizon Wireless is extending Alltel's My Circle calling plans to all Verizon Wireless customers through its new Friends & Family plans. Starting on February 15, Verizon Wireless customers will be able to identify 5 or 10 different members of their friends or family circle. Calls placed to or received by these numbers - which can include landlines and numbers on other wireless networks - will not count against their monthly allotment of minutes. In order to enroll, Verizon Wireless customers must must have a Nationwide Single Line plan with at least 900 minutes ($60/month) or a Nationwide Family SharePlan with at least 1,400 minutes ($90/month). According to Verizon, the Friends & Family numbers can be changed at any time.
GREAT NEWS!!!!!
Well this is something that I was hoping for. THINK MYCIRCLE WITH ALLTEL!!!!! Thats how its going to work. Customers should be and better be happy for a better price plans.
What are you talking about,am I missing something? Please be more precise.
where its the great news ๐ oh i know i know the 99cents everyday pre pay plan its greeeat ๐คฃ
where are you saving???
the plans sounds nice that your capable to add people to your family plan, but where are the savings.. you need at least a 60 dollar 900 minute individual plan or a shared 1400 min 80 dollar plan. and thats with out texting plan SMS and MMS and no mobile web.. once you add those options the plan get ridiculously expensive..
It's a great thing. I'm already on the 1400 family share with unlimited texting. my sister always goes over my minutes. Now that won't be a problem.
Can you name a cheaper plan with more??
FYI... MetroPCS, Revol, and Cricket don't count. They are not even closely comparable in coverage.
Sprint's everything plan for 99.99 is the best competition, but all that is is a Bandaid to stop the blee...

Do you understand the concept of "minimum requirements"? Verizon is saying the MINIMUM REQUIREMENT is a 1400 Basic Family Share Plan or a 900 Basic Single Line plan. Select, Connect and Premium plans can add it...but you must be at 1400 or 900. Wou...

This is total savings for me. I am on the 900 Select plan, and I also have the Blackberry Plan for $29.99. I had to bump down from the unlimited plan because of tough times. Everyone in my phone book are Verizon customers, except like 5 people, they a...

A lot of family plans are 1400+ and it's not unusual to see 900+ minute plans as well for individual.
Considering there is no additional cost for this option, it is a GREAT value. Would you rather they charge money for it, but have it at every l...

People bitch regardless. No one can ever just be happy. Go find a high cliff, and take a dive. Everytime a company improves, and helps improve the network you always have one individual which is going to complain! Shut UP!
Actually it is wonderful savings for me considering Verizon works the best in my area (and my brothers area, both in different States than myself)and I'm currently on a 3,000 minute plan because my brothers talk to their fiance/wives excessively. I ca...

Change it daily!?!? Are you kidding me?
HOW AWESOME IS THAT?
You can change your 5 or 10 DAILY.
You could call 5 friends for free on Monday
and 5 totally new ones on Tuesday
HOW AWESOME IS THAT?
You know you are going to be calling a doctor and might need to talk for an hour on friday.
Add his number on Thursday and you're set
HHHOOOWWW AWWWESSSOMMME IISSS THHHAAAAATT???
I think the system would have a limit on number of changes per month. I know for price plans you can only change twice within the same cycle.
That's pretty much now My Circle worked. I don't think people will abuse it much. Planning on someone to call and changing it the night before seems like a lot of work.
Price ?
How much for 5 or 10 #s on the 1400min family shareplan ?
It's 5 numbers on that plan and 10 numbers on higher plans
Mobile2Mobile
Aren't they advertising the largest mobile to mobile network? As I recall the BBQ commercial where Cletus is pointing out his whole 'family' to the 4 eyed Verizon guy, and he asks if he can call them, and the Verizon dude says 'as much as you want'
Now...why would they call this Friends and Family Calling plans? Isn't everyone on Verizon? This is a failure in the making here. I used to sell Alltel and over half the people don't even care about MyCircle, nor did they set it up.
Who actually complains about too much of a good thing. Yes Vzw has the largest M2M network. I'm not going to complain about being able to call 80 million + 10. But i guess i dont speak for everyone.
Um, landline phones. ๐
Next Calling Plan App.
Unlimited calling to Verizon landline as well.
๐
To any landline within the 50 states that isn't a 900 number or a 411 directory svc number, not just Verizon's landlines
How it will work -- UPDATED

How will we activate and use?
Will we have to sign up for it and put down 5 numbers we will be using or will we get to just call any five different numbers each day. Another thing is,I have family plan 1400 minutes with 3 phones,do we each get 5 people or numbers per day or do we split. Thanks, any info would be great for all of us who do not know.
You will need to go to the Verizon website starting on Sunday, February 15. If you have a a family plan with at least 1400 minutes, then the three lines on your account can share up to ten "minute-free" numbers. You can change the numbers on a daily...
