Today Qualcomm said that a federal judge has dismissed one of the complaints filed against it by rival wireless chip-maker Broadcom. Broadcom had complained that Qualcomm reaped undue royalties from patents that were exhausted. The judge presiding over the case threw out the complaint because Broadcom failed to list any specific patents. The two companies have been battling one another in various courts over wireless technology patent and licensing issues.
