Sprint: Palm Pre Goes On Sale June 6

Today Sprint announced that the Palm Pre will be available at a number of retailers nationwide starting Saturday, June 6. Sprint stores, Best Buy, Radio Shack, and select Wal-Mart stores will be selling the Pre for $200 after rebates with new two-year agreement. The Pre will require an Everything Data plan or Business Essentials with Messaging and Data plan. Sprint will also be offering the Touchstone wireless charging accessory (charger and new battery cover) for $70. The Pre runs Palm's new operating system, called webOS.

Sprint... in case you hadn't noticed.... MIRs are soooo 2005.
They want to compete with Apple and AT&T who have no MIR.

Thank god people can go to Best Buy for this and get it for $200 instantly.

The Kiosks inside most Sams Clubs will also have no rebate and give you a $40 bill credit just for shopping there. (you don't have to be a member to buy phones at Sams)

June 6th is the day eh? I have been patiently waiting. only $200.00? I can dig it. but I dont want that damn everything data plan because its not compatible with sprint phone as Modem (PAM) ☹️ but i really want the phone. Stuck between a hard place and a rock

if i were you i would go ahead and get it..who needs phone as modem when you have the internet in the palm of your hand. Pretty soon there will be no need for laptops.

Just use the bluetooth on your laptop to connect to the web from the phone they dont know and cant charge you. i use that all the time with my black berry.

PAM is an optional buy up on all plans. It's just an extra feature on top of the phone's data.

Other Sprint Smartphones on sale?

I wonder if Sprint will put other smartphones on sale to try and stave off demand they can't meet for the Pre. I hear they may not have enough to go around to meet the initial demand.

I think I want a Pre, but would be great to get a super-discounted Blackberry or HTC! 😁
