TLC Hits V CAST TV

Today Verizon Wireless announced that it has added content from The Learning Channel to its selection of channels available to V CAST TV subscribers. Other channels include ABC, CBS, CNBC, Comedy Central, Disney, ESPN, FOX, MSNBC, MTV, NBC and Nickelodeon.

Verizon briefed investors today on a forthcoming service called "+play" that will help customers manage the variety of streaming services they subscribe to. Instead of signing up for multiple services separately, Verizon customers will be able to subscribe to Disney+, Hulu, Netflix, Peloton, ESPN+, discovery+, AMC+, A+E, The Athletic, Calm, Duolingo, and more, all through Verizon.

Hulu and ESPN have added SharePlay support to their respective apps for iPhones. SharePlay lets users watch the same video content together, remotely, while on a FaceTime call.

At this moment, MobileTV may seem like a less than stellar investment. 3G does not employ a very enjoyable experience. However with WiMax and upcoming LTE, I think the end results will be rather pleasing. I am curious to see how many channels will eve...
