Motion-Controlled Apps Coming to Android, Symbian

Today GestureTek released two new products for developers that will allow them to create motion-controlled applications and games for Android and Symbian-based devices. GestureTek's new Momo SDK (software development kit) has Motion Tracker to recognize motion and Mosaic Tracker to recognize faces, hands and other objects in the camera's field-of-view. GestureTek has also updated its Eyemo SDK. Eyemo uses the camera to sense device motion, providing joystick, force of motion and menu selection interaction. It lets users shake, rock or roll the phone instead of pressing buttons, to play games, answer calls, navigate maps, turn pages or browse the Web. All together, these new developer tools should allow developers to create motion and face/hand controlled applications and games.
