Today Sony Ericsson announced the Naite, a phone that it has made available unlocked through Sony Style stores across the U.S. The Naite (pronounced nigh-tay) is a traditional candybar phone and its plastic housing was made with 50% recycled materials. It also has a low-power consumption charger, and leaves out a user manual to cut down on paper use and shipping costs. The Naite has quad-band GSM/EDGE and tri-band 850/1900/2100MHz 3G radios. It also has Bluetooth (with A2DP) and an FM radio with RDS on board. Other features include a 2 megapixel camera with video capture, Exchange ActiveSync support, microSD support, Facebook integration — including the ability to upload photos — and Google Maps and Google Search. The Naite will cost $159.

This is a pretty good deal

The phone has better specs than half of AT&T's line and is only $160? 3G with Exchange support? Might have to pick one up as a back up.

Still a good deal without it, and you don't need 3g unless you are downloading video or audio. Large 240x320 display, push email (when the hell will other manufacturers catch up on that?...

I notice it is officially a J105 model. I don't know why it is called a J-series, as it looks much more like a K-series model.
