Sony Intros Naite Unlocked GreenHeart Phone
Mar 3, 2010, 8:19 AM by Eric M. Zeman
Today Sony Ericsson announced the Naite, a phone that it has made available unlocked through Sony Style stores across the U.S. The Naite (pronounced nigh-tay) is a traditional candybar phone and its plastic housing was made with 50% recycled materials. It also has a low-power consumption charger, and leaves out a user manual to cut down on paper use and shipping costs. The Naite has quad-band GSM/EDGE and tri-band 850/1900/2100MHz 3G radios. It also has Bluetooth (with A2DP) and an FM radio with RDS on board. Other features include a 2 megapixel camera with video capture, Exchange ActiveSync support, microSD support, Facebook integration — including the ability to upload photos — and Google Maps and Google Search. The Naite will cost $159.
