Judge Stays Apple-Nokia Patent Fight Until ITC Issues Ruling

The Delaware-based judge overseeing the Nokia-Apple and Apple-Nokia patent lawsuits has issued a stay, effectively putting the trials on hold until the International Trade Commission makes its own ruling. Nokia sued Apple for patent violations, and Apple filed a lawsuit in return. In addition to the lawsuits, Nokia asked the ITC to bar Apple from exporting products to the European Union and Apple asked the ITC to bar Nokia from importing devices to the U.S. The judge in the Delaware lawsuit cases wants the ITC to make a decision first before allowing the lawsuits to move forward. The ITC has not indicated when or if it will rule on the matter.

lol

The judge took one look at the patent issues involved, decided this is definitely going to require a prolonged overview of the origin of many of these technologies and rightfully slapped a post it on the case saying f this, I am out of here. T time is at noon.

This is a very complex legal issue and needs the appropriate level of scrutiny. So we shall see.

The Apple vs HTC issue is going to drag on for years.

So Eris users, you will still get your 2.1 update. Just chill in the mean time.
That's why they're going through the ITC.
