Palm's Pre Plus and Pixi Plus Headed to AT&T
Mar 22, 2010, 8:30 AM by Eric M. Zeman
Today Palm announced that AT&T will be offering both the Pre Plus and Pixi Plus at some time in the coming months. The phones will be identical to the versions currently being sold by Verizon Wireless, save for the substitution of quad-band GSM/EDGE and dual-band 850/1900 3.6Mbps HSDPA radios. All other aspects to the hardware are identical. Palm said the differences in the software will include integration with AT&T's online contacts application with Palm's Synergy contacts application. Current AT&T customers will be able to port their online contacts to either phone seamlessly. The devices will have other branded AT&T apps, such as AT&T Navigation, as well. The Pre Plus will cost $150 after mail-in rebate, and the Pixi Plus will be $50 after mail-in rebate. The Pre Plus will come in the same black that is already being offered by Sprint and Verizon. The Pixi, however, will also come in blue. Both will be compatible with Palm's Touchstone charger.
