Sprint and LG today announced the Remarq, a messaging phone with social networking features and an earth-friendly design. The phone includes an Eco Calculator app that allows customers to tally carbon savings by walking or cycling as opposed to driving their car. The phone is also partially made from recycled plastic, the packaging is made from mostly recycled materials, and the charger is Energy Star-compliant. On the features side, the phone sport a slide-out QWERTY keyboard, 1.3-megapixel camera, memory card slot, and a QVGA display. On the social networking front, it supports photo uploading for Facebook, Photobucket and MySpace; it also lets you update Facebook and Twitter status. The Remarq will be available May 9 for $50 with 2-year contract and after instant rebate. An additional $50 mail-in rebate will be available.

oh yeah... because people care...

I am finding it hard lately to sell phones because of our limited selection of recycled phones...

oh wait... nobody cares...
Actually they do, at least where im at. The Recalim is one of the best phones on the Now Network and it sells beautifully because of the fact it is green (in both senses)!
