Verizon today announced a deal with Danal to let customers pay for certain types of online purchases with their Verizon Wireless account. When shopping on select web sites selling digital content, customers will be able to choose "BilltoMobile" to use the service. A text message code will be sent to their Verizon Wireless phone for secure confirmation of the purchase, after which the purchase will appear on the customer's Verizon Wireless bill. The service will include a $25/month spending limit and parental controls. The initial focus will be on "game sites, social networks and virtual worlds."
