Today Clearwire announced another handful of markets that it plans to blanket with its WiMax network by the end of 2010. The new markets include Los Angeles, Miami, St. Louis, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Pittsburgh, and Salt Lake City. These cities will join 27 markets that are already covered by WiMax Clearwire said that Houston, which was previously announced, will go live in the coming weeks. Clearwire also announced that it is upgrading its existing WiMax networks' backhaul capacity. Clearwire will double the number of transmitters and receivers per site, which Clearwire says will result in a boost to potential end user speeds by approximately 20 to 30%. Upgrades will be made gradually across Clearwire’s 4G network and have already been completed in Seattle, Honolulu and Maui.

Damn Not one Comment?

I am glad they have both Miami and Kansas City, I travel back and forth all year. I don't think people realize how great this is, 4g from sprint will only help push LTE out faster; I am all for the competition.
Just bummed that Pensacola/Tallahassee aren't included.
