Today Google announced that it has sped up the performance of its Voice application for the Android platform. A new feature called Inbox synchronization will notify Android devices of new text messages or voicemails within seconds of receiving new messages in your Google Voice inbox. Previously, messages were often delayed by as much as 15 minutes. Once activated, the update will automatically disable SMS forwarding to end user's mobile phones, so they donβt receive duplicate notifications. Interacting with Google Voice contacts is also now much faster. Users can refresh their application via the update tool in the Android Market.
