Deutsche Telekom CEO Rene Obermann recently provided clarity on the company's position regarding T-Mobile USA. Obermann said, "We consider the U.S. market to be highly attractive in the years to come. We aren’t considering multi-billion dollar deals." There's been speculation that Deutsche Telekom has been preparing to spin the company off or sell it. Obermann made it clear that Deutsche Telekom remains committed to T-Mobile USA.

improved handsets and 3G coverage!!!!

one of the many things that tmobile has going for it right now are the much improved handset line up and better 3G coverage!!! many carriers are boasting that android this android that when infact tmobile has had the android platform going on just about two years now, not to mention the fact that they carry at minimum 4 android based handsets not including the additionl android phones such as the mytouch fender, the updated mytouch that comes w a 8g mem card and the cliq xt. as for tmobile's 3G coverage its tops, given the fact that we have another major carrier claiming that their network is the only one on which you can talk and surf the web, LIES!! i personally have been able to talk and surf the web simultaneously on many occasions on ad...

I wouldn't sell either...

Of course, I don't know the internal T-Mobile numbers, but there is definitely a market for T-Mobile...a very big one. Thing is, not everyone wants to go with Verizon and AT&T because of the higher prices. Sprint is still losing more customers than they are getting in. T-Mobile is a fine alternative and seem like they have some big plans for the future. I think we will see T-Mobile growing even faster than Sprint is.

canada's wireless lineup...1 or 2 carriers and which would ultimately lead to $8/minute and 20 minute family share plans with 5 shared text messages 🤣

Yeah, AT&T and T-Mobile pull enough crap already, I can't imagine how it would be if either of them was the only GSM carrier.

Vote of Confidence

Oh really? Was it not a Deutsche Telekom official who commented that they were considering potential opportunities, including looking at Clear as a possible partner? Perhaps DT needs to clamp a muzzle on some of these guys. Also, this Vote of Confidence comes very late. Why let the rumors spread while T-Mobile twists in the wind for months?
Not pulling out of the US, and not tossing ton's of euro's and dollars into them are two different things. TMO and Clear talking about doing business is not a bad thing. Sure LTE is their plan and would be preferable, but to be able to go 4g years s...

I agree. I reallly don't think DT knows what they want. They were in talks twice in the past with Sprint and then talks with Clear. Now this.

They say they are not looking for Multi-Billion deals yet they aren't sinking Multi-Billions into keeping...
