Firm Seeks to Block iPhone, iPad Imports

A Taiwan-based company called Elan Microelectronics Corp. has filed a patent-related complaint with the U.S. International Trade Commission against Apple. The company alleges that Apple's products violate its touch screen patents. It is seeking to prevent Apple from importing the alleged infringing products into the U.S. until the patent issue can be resolved. The lawsuit names the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch. Apple is at the center of a number of lawsuits over iPhone-related technologies.
