Documents recently published on the Bluetooth Special Interest Group web site reveal a few details about the Samsung I897. The documents refer to the I897 as a touch phone with a 4.0-inch AMOLED screen, Android and Samsung's TouchWiz 3.0 interface. It supports quad-band GSM/EDGE frequencies as well as a number of Bluetooth profiles, including A2DP stereo Bluetooth. The profile of the I897 is nearly identical to that of the Samsung I9000 Galaxy S, which was recently introduced at the CTIA trade show. The Galaxy S is headed to the U.S., though not necessarily with that exact name. Given the model number, the I897 could be a variant of the Galaxy S headed to AT&T.

While the ipad is news, I was not surprised to find by interviews and raves that most of the lines of people waiting to get it, were Mac and iphone Owners/Users. If you break down the ipad, it is essentially a huge ipod touch. My Wife's friend was abl...
