Apr 8, 2010, 10:31 AM by Eric M. Zeman
Sprint CEO Dan Hesse recently indicated that the company plans to launch a WiMax network in its home market of Kansas City by this summer. Sprint's WiMax partner Clear had already indicated that Kansas City would get WiMax coverage, but didn't say when. Hesse said that the Kansas City market launch will coincide with the availability of the HTC EVO 4G, which will be the company's first WiMax-equipped smartphone. The EVO 4G was announced at the recent CTIA trade show. It is an Android device that features Sense UI and a large display.
