More features revealed by Apple today about iPhone OS 4.0 include a revised mail application. The application will offer a unified inbox, which is a way for users to filter email from all their accounts into a single inbox. The iPhone will also be able to support multiple Microsoft Exchange accounts, which will let uses have work Exchange and personal Exchange accounts on the iPhone. The new mail application will also offer threaded email conversations, such as is provided by Gmail. Apple has also made it faster to switch between email accounts in the mail application's user interface.

LONG overdue

This is one of those things that is long overdue for the iPhone. I'm glad it's here, but the lack of unified inbox was the reason I was not terribly fond of the iPhone's mail client.

I guess that's cool

something I don't have on my jailbroken iPhone. Something i've never even really thought of either though. But I guess it's a plus
