Sony Ericsson today launched a pair of Walkman phones, the Sony Ericsson Zylo and Spiro. Both phones feature the Sony Ericsson Walkman music player, and both will also have built-in apps for Facebook and Twitter access. Otherwise, the two phones are pure featurephone devices, with QVGA-resolution screens and a numeric keypad. Each follows Sony Ericsson's Human Curvature design aesthetic, with a gently curving back for ergonomics.
- Zylo: The Sony Ericsson Zylo is the more upscale of the two. Besides the larger 2.6-inch screen, the Zylo also gets a high-quality music playback option. The Walkman player on the Zylo can handle lossless FLAC files. The phone also has the ability to play music files in the background during conversations if you want to let a caller listen in to your playlist. The Zylo even comes with ambient noise tracks for the background, so you can pretend to be calling from a work office, a street or a restaurant.
- Spiro: The Sony Ericsson Spiro doesn't have FLAC support, and also lacks the background music playback. A decidedly simpler phone, the Spiro uses a 2.2 inch, QVGA display, and the standout feature, besides the Walkman player, seems to be one-touch access to TrackID, Sony Ericsson's music identification service.

UNFAITHFUL PHONE?
I'd like to meet the JERK that came up with this idea! I'm sure he had his reasons! I've got an idea for your next invention.... How about a phone pre loaded with a bomb so when angry wives hear the fake background noise, they can press one simple key to blow his cheating a$$ up! ๐
