Hey Sprint! Ever hear of a little town called Phoenix?
Ya... you know... that "little town" in Arizona. 🙄
Sprint is basically at the mercy of Clearwire when it comes to deploying the 4G Wimax network. Yeah yeah i know Sprint owns 51% of clearwire, but it still up to the execs at CW where the network goes.
Yeah you know the 5th largest city. I plan on switching to Sprint from Tmobile exclusively for the HTC EVO! And makes no point to get a $G phone with no 4G
You need to put Phoenix on!
They figure if Arizona wants to be a backwards little place, then 4x is too advanced for y'all.
but they can't find anyone to build the towers now...
It's the damndest of things...
is still not on the map yet. Plus they havent even mentioned a expected release this year.
Ummm what about New York City???
Or Los Angeles for that matter. Yeah the two largest cities in the country. Ever hear of them Clearwire?
New York was announced on the previous list of cities.
Don't sweat it L.A or NY, you guys are on top of WiMax list of cities needed to take the helm of the cell phone wars. WiMax is just testing the waters, and gaining popularity. You don't want WiMax coming to your big cities and flip flopping on the ban...

Holy Effin Shazit!!!...
I be seein Rochester in there. Right in time for my purchase of the Evo. 😁
Wilmington Delaware! Closing the gap between big cities
So it'll be from Baltimore up i-95 to the Wilmington, Delaware area that will join with the Philadelphia metro area/New Jersey area and then hopefully to NYC to make one HUGE 4G market down the East Coast baby! 🙂
Umm, that's quite the dream you've got there.
Visalia....
is excited!!!! 🤣
Indianapolis?
Indianapolis isn't exactly a small city if you include the whole metropolitan area. I wonder when we're going to get 4G?
They will probably wait to see if Manning blows another Super Bowl before they start building 4G.
I'm waiting on an Indy launch as well...ready to get rid of AT&T DSL and don't want to ever be a Comcast customer again.
Also to the post below me...the pick-six was more on Wayne than Manning. Wayne ran a weak route and did not cut underneath P...

LA & NY
Have the infrastructure being built and in place in part. There is no way Sprint would only open up part of 4G in those two huge markets without it being fully available. The negative press would be a killer. They are being very smart about this deployment both financially and infrastructure wise. Deploy where you already have previously implemented the infrastructure prior to Sprint purchasing Nextel. You have to understand, the knowledge and use of that frequency has been around for awhile. One of the main reseaons Sprint went after Nextel to begin with.
Modesto Thanks you. Here I come EVO
I'm currently with T-mobile, and I have about 3months and change before my contracts up. However, I ain't waiting for my contract to finish before I jump on the 4G-WiMax bandwagon. I'm paying my early cancellation fee in order to experience the high speed internet quality Sprint will offer in my city, Modesto, Ca. Let's not forget the HTC Evo, with its rummored to run true web browsing capabilities-flash full effin throttled. To sum it up, I'm divorcing T-Mobile, and paying one time alimony, in order to be with my true love-Sprint-HTC EVO-WiMax.
