Today AT&T announced via its Facebook page the new Samsung Rugby II. The phone is a ruggedized flip phone that meets MIL-STD-810G for durability, including protection from vibration, shock, moisture and dust. According to Samsung, the Rubgy II has a better speakerphone and now has improved noise suppression. Other features of the Rugby II include a 2 megapixel camera with video capture, stereo Bluetooth, support for 32GB microSD cards, push-to-talk, and tri-band 850/1900/2100MHz HSDPA/UMTS 3G radios. The Rugby II will be available starting June 6 for $129.99 after $50 mail-in rebate.

If they used padding with Rugby...

...maybe they wouldn't break as easily. Maybe that was the "goal" of this new model.

Hopefully they do a better job with this one. The original rugby broke all the time!
