AT&T announced that due to unprecedented demand for the iPhone 4, it is suspending pre-orders. According to AT&T, it received 10 times as many pre-order requests for the iPhone 4 yesterday as it did for the iPhone 3GS a year ago. An AT&T spokesperson told Phone Scoop, "Given this unprecedented demand and our current expectations for our iPhone 4 inventory levels when the device is available June 24, were suspending pre-ordering today in order to fulfill the orders we’ve already received. The availability of additional inventory will determine if we can resume taking pre-orders." AT&T didn't indicate when that might be. Apple also issued a statement, and said, "Yesterday Apple and its carrier partners took pre-orders for more than 600,000 of Apple's new iPhone 4. It was the largest number of pre-orders Apple has ever taken in a single day and was far higher than we anticipated, resulting in many order and approval system malfunctions. Many customers were turned away or abandoned the process in frustration. We apologize to everyone who encountered difficulties, and hope that they will try again or visit an Apple or carrier store once the iPhone 4 is in stock."

How can Apple/AT&T not release a statement about the white phone?
Sources are saying a number of different responses. I've heard:
1) a smaller number of white phones will be available on the day of the launch
2) production issue, they won't be ready until "late summer"
3) won't be ready on day of launch but shortly after
What's the deal?
There's a big wave of customers.
Let it die down some
Then release a different color
let it die down some
Lower the price
let it die down some
Make some kind of minor tweak to it
etc....
I really want one but...
I really want the Touch Pro 2 but why would I get that when Microsoft is about to discontinue their OS and come out with Windows phone 7? plus Android moment is nice but I can see it now, because Android is soooo open the apps I would assume crash the phone. Apps interfering with other apps, and causing confliction and thus avoiding the phone to perform up to par with the projected specs and etc. Not apple, I honestly feel thats one of the reason's they are so s...
