FCC Could Redefine Broadband Access Rules
Jun 16, 2010, 4:03 PM by Philip Berne
The FCC might take public comments on a new definition for broadband access that could change the way Internet service is regulated. According to the AP, on Thursday the FCC will vote on whether to accept comments. Among possible outcomes, FCC Chairman Julius Genachowski has proposed defining broadband access as a "common carrier" service, which would in effect be a mandate for net neutrality. New definitions would impact both wired and wireless broadband providers.

if one cannot, there is always earthlink or netzero. it may not be broadband but it's something and it's dirt cheap.
