U.S. Cellular Formally Announces Samsung Acclaim

U.S. Cellular today announced the availability of the Samsung Acclaim, the wireless company's first Android handset. The Acclaim runs Android 2.1 and has a 3.2-inch touch screen with slide-out QWERTY keyboard. It features a 3 megapixel camera with autofocus, LED flash and video capture. The Acclaim has stereo Bluetooth, GPS and Wi-Fi radios, and will support microSD cards up to 32GB. The Acclaim will be available starting July 9 for $99 after mail-in rebate. U.S. Cellular said it will also give Acclaim customers a $20 gift card to the Android Market.

Samsung has revealed the Galaxy XCover6 Pro, a new "enterprise-ready smartphone powerful enough to support today's most demanding businesses". Its rugged design carries an IP68 water and dust rating, and MIL-STD-810H certification for drops, altitude, humidity, immersion, salt fog, dust, and vibration.

They've announced 2 more recently as well, so that's 4 total coming to USCC by the end of the year. Grateful to finally have some decent phones with the best coverage around here.
How many are out now?
Its amazing how many Androids just pop up every where. There are high end ones, lower end ones. Its all over the place. One day it will be the best OS, in my eyes it has all ready passed Palm and BB.
