LG today opened a redesigned application storefront for both feature phones and smartphones. The market launched in 23 markets around the world and LG plans to open the market in 10 more by the end of the year. The apps store has some 3,000 applications available, and LG said it is committed to offering just as many apps for feature phones as it will for smartphones. Right now, the store doesn't include any apps for Android devices, but LG said it will offer some by the end of the year. LG hasn't said if or when it will make the app store available to U.S. consumers.

We would be a great group of people to test it and they haven't even announced a date as to when the will open the store to people in the States? Come on LG! You should be smarter then that!

More open please

I know this app store thing is the latest rage these days, but I can't wait for the day when I can install an app from wherever I want(kind of like my PC).

Better yet, I want more stuff to be browser based(kind of like my PC).
