Google Halting Nexus One Sales Once Inventory Is Out

Google today announced that it has received tis final shipment of HTC-made Nexus One Android phones. Once it sells through this last batch of devices, it will finally close the Nexus One online store and cease direct sales of Android handsets. Google says its customer support lines will remain open, and the Nexus One can still be purchased from various retail locations throughout the U.S.

I Feel Bad.

The Nexus One was a beautiful Android handset. Anyone that has one, should de-commission it and preserve it. I sense it may become a collector's item in the future. In many ways, it was the first of its kind.
It is almost sad to hear this as well, it was a chance they took and was a amazing piece of Android technology. It started a revolution of Android handsets.
i like it alot. but there great substitutes for it now.
I really wish they made a CDMA one or I would get it.

The Nexus One still feels like the only Android handset to actually live up to the promise of being "open". For better or worse, it feels like I'm using a prototype of an about-to-be released phone

Jeez...

That sucks. Soooo I guess no Nexus 2. Why can't google continue to make its own phone?
