Samsung Craft Will Be First MetroPCS LTE Phone
Aug 5, 2010, 9:35 PM by Philip Berne
MetroPCS CEO Roger Linquist, in an analyst conference call, has identified the carrier's first LTE phone as the Samsung Craft. Linquist said the new phone will go on sale later this year, and the price will be comparable to other MetroPCS handsets, which should put it somewhere close to $300. Neither MetroPCS nor Samsung has offered details about what operating system the new phone will run, or whether it will be a smartphone or just priced like one. MetroPCS plans to launch its LTE network in Dallas / Fort Worth and Las Vegas this year. MetroPCS plans on completing its LTE expansion by early 2011.
