Dell Opens Mobile Apps Store of Its Own

Coinciding with the availability of the Dell Streak Android phone, Dell has also launched a new mobile application store called the Dell Mobile Application Store. A company called PocketGear is providing the technology to run and maintain the storefront. According to Dell, the store offers applications for smartphones running the Android, BlackBerry, Symbian, webOS, and Windows Mobile platforms. The store accepts both credit cards and PayPal for payment, though it also offers free applications.
