Verizon Wireless Launches Trade-In Tool

Verizon Wireless has opened a new portal where customers can trade in their old used cell phones in exchange for Verizon Wireless gift cards. Customers go to the web site and provide information about their device. Verizon then calculates an offer for the phone. The original Motorola Droid, for example, was valued at only $54, despite being in good shape, while an HTC Droid Incredible garnered $152 in trade-in value. Once customers accept the terms, Verizon sends a package in which the phone is to be shipped to Verizon. The gift card can be used as cash at Verizon Wireless stores.

There's better...

If you go to www.gazelle.com you can get alot more money for your devices. For example, I can get over $100 for a Motorola Droid in less than perfect condition. You can calculate the value for your devices without having to start an account.

And I'm not advertising I just want others to get more than pocket change from Verizon.
I jumped ahead and didn't research enough. Gazelle.com is great for smartphones but your regular phones will have more value on Verizon's program. Gazelle won't give very much, if any, on basic phones especially old ones.
Thanks for the tip! 🙂
Gazelle is awesome. I use it a lot. They are dependent and they give great prices for various high-end devices. I was able to sell them the Droid a while back and get more than the retail value back from it (contract value, not full price). 20 thumbs...

I've done well with Ebay too. When I switched from T-Mobile to Vz, Ebay got us back most of the money we spent buying new phones.
