Verizon Wireless has published a web site containing a 360-degree view of the unannounced Samsung Continuum. In addition to the web site, the user manual of the Continuum also became available from Verizon's web site. The Continuum is an Android handset that it part of Samsung's Galaxy S line of smartphones. Its stand-out feature is an extra "Ticker" display at the bottom of the phone. The Ticker display provides notifications for incoming calls, new messages, and customized, real-time updates from user-specified accounts. The ticker is activated by gripping the bottom of the Continuum where Samsung has placed sensors. The ticker display runs in two different modes, and can be activated to check alerts while the main display remains asleep. The main display measures 3.4 inches, and has 800 by 480 pixels. The Continuum has a camera with flash, and can record 720p HD video. It also has Wi-Fi with Mobile Hotspot, GPS, Bluetooth, support for microSD cards up to 32GB, and DLNA-based AllShare. Verizon hasn't officially announced this device, so pricing and availability wasn't revealed.
