AMD Now Backing MeeGo

AMD today announced that it has joined The Linux Foundation's MeeGo open source Linux project. MeeGo is the joint mobile Linux platform being worked on by Intel (which contributed its Moblin Linux) and Nokia (which contributed its Maemo Linux). The Linux Foundation's MeeGo project is a non-profit consortium of companies hoping to advance Linux's position as a mobile platform for devices such as tablets and smartphones. In addition to its membership, AMD also takes a seat on the board.

Good news

Good to see that Meego is keeping the momentum going. Now if Nokia would just release an N9 already and get it really going.
On the second part of your post. I couldn't agree with you more. Nokia needs to step up to the plate on Meego, they're acting positively like SE on this.
