Research In Motion and Amazon today announced a new MP3 application for BlackBerries. Similar to the MP3 app that is available to Google's Android platform, Amazon MP3 for BlackBerries allows users to browse through Amazon's library of music and purchase and download songs directly from their handset. The app provides 30-second song previews, and integrates with native BlackBerry features, such as BBM, Universal Search and the media library. The application is available to U.S. users in beta form directly from RIM.

Just downloaded it

It's a quick app download, and less than 30 seconds later, I'm already downloading music!

One of the best parts about the app is that it does not require a reboot after installation (some apps for OS 5 still require that, so it's nice that this one doesn't).
