Google today announced a new version of Voice Search for the Android platform. The new version is introducing a voice recognition tool that users can take advantage of to "train" Google Voice to learn that individual's speech patterns, accent, and speech style. Google will analyze the Voice Search recordings for each user and, over time, tweak how it responds to that person. Google says the data will be associated with their account, and users must opt-in to use it. Google believes this will help Voice Search perform better for end users. It requires Android 2.2 or 2.3, and is only available to english speakers in the U.S.
