U.S. Cellular has made the Android 2.2 Froyo system update available to the HTC Desire. The update requires the use of a PC and HTC's syncing tools. Apple computer users are directed to take their device to a U.S. Cellular retail store for the upgrade.
Hello 2005
Why isn't this update OTA like every other android phone? The manual to update to froyo is ridiculously long. do all htc phones require hardwired windows -driven updates? Or is this specific to us cellular? Or specific to just the desire? If you have this phone and want the update, i recommend going to the us cellular store & tell them you have a Mac & have them do the update. Also noticed the update will wipe a LOT off your phone. Thoughts? 😕
