Windows Phone 7 Getting Copy-and-Paste In March

Microsoft today announced that the previously-announced update with copy-and-paste and faster app launching will be released within the first two weeks of March, although specific timing will vary by carrier.

I don't get it

What's so complicated that neither Apple nor Microsoft were apple to implement copy and paste into their devices from the get-go?? It's such a basic function...I mean...it seriously seems like something that would be at the top of the list of "document and email functionality".
Not difficult, just not the first priority....when working on a program, there comes a point where you have to stop adding features and say 'okay...this is done, let's get this out there' if you wait until you have every feature that someone regards a...

Finally an announcement

I'm glad to finally get some official announcement on when we can get this update. I hope the carriers don't delay it any longer.

We really need to see MS step up these updates to fix the WP7 bugs. I've heard that MS had it ready weeks ago but the carriers delayed the roll out. I thought that WP7 was designed to be updated without carrier delays.

That is incorrect, it has only been completed within the last 2 weeks.
