RIM Takes the Pain Out of Dialing Conference Calls

Research In Motion today announced a new beta service called BlackBerry Mobile Conferencing. The application is meant to make the process of dialing into conference calls simpler. BlackBerry Mobile Conferencing integrates with the on-board Calendar application and will notify users via pop-up message when the meeting is scheduled to start. Users can then, with one click, dial into the conference call and automatically enter any associated codes or passwords to join the call. The application also allows for easy reconnecting if callers are disconnected from the conference. The application make it easier to schedule conference calls directly from the device, as well as save dial-ins and codes for recurring calls. The application is free to BlackBerry Beta Zone testers.
