Texas Instruments Shrinks Qi Power Chip

Texas Instruments today announced its newest Qi-compliant wireless charging module. The bq51013 receiver integrated circuit combines everything in a package that is 80% smaller than its predecessor while still supporting up to 5W of output power and up to 93% efficient AC/DC power conversion. The receiver is compliant with the Wireless Power Consortium's Qi standard, and can be used in devices such as mobile phones. It will work with various charging pads. The receiver is already shipping.
