Samsung D600 Earns FCC Approval for CDMA, Wi-Fi, WiMax

Documents seen on the Federal Communications Commission web site reveal details about an unannounced handset from Samsung. The Samsung D600 is the second handset approved by the FCC with CDMA in the ESMR band (817-824MHz and 862-869MHz) and CDMA in Sprint's 1900MHz PCS band. The D600 follows the M380, approved earlier this month, as a CDMA phone that will work on both Sprint's 800MHz and 1900MHz spectrum when Sprint starts transitioning its iDEN service to CDMA service in the ESMR band. Further, the FCC also confirms that the D600 includes support for WiMax and Wi-Fi. The presence of WiMax and Wi-Fi, typically reserved for smartphones, suggest that the D600 will be relatively high-end when compared to the M380. The FCC documents don't reveal much else, and Samsung hasn't published details about this device.

wicth on will be???? sprint OR boost

this phone willl be one of the first to use the new IDEN tech thru CDMA
wish boost will haved....
has 4g.. going to sprint
Boost will have it because Sprint has it, and they'll have it AFTER sprint has it for a while.

If it's a high-end phone, and it's not iDen, then it won't be going to Boost. Remember, we get the scraps from the table, not the buffet.

This is not an iden phone. It has cdma in both the 1900 mhz band and in the esmr band. This is an indication that sprint is phasing out iden, and beginning to transition its cdma to to the 800 mhz range.

The D700...

Is the Samsung Epic. I would expect this to be a mid-range smartphone with 4G capabilities, to provide an option less expensive than the Evo/Epic for 4G-hungry customers. It'll probably have a keyboard with a screen akin to the Intercept.
I am guessing this is the replacement for the Epic 4G, maybe with a faster processor, FFC and backlit keyboard. The reason for my prediction is that everyone is no discounting the Epic 4g, which wasn't true just a few weeks ago.
