Samsung Unveils New Lineup for Americas

Samsung today announced a slew of new phones for the Americas.

SGH-P735: Megapixel camera phone with unique "swing" design. Features 262,000-color display, Java MIDP 2.0, MPEG-4 video recording, and infrared. Available Q3.
SGH-D415: Slide-style GSM phone with VGA camera, video recording, large 262,000-color display, and 64-chord polyphonic ringtones. Available Q2.
SGH-i505: Palm OS GSM clamshell with twisting display. Features include built-in VGA camera and media player. Available Q3.
VM-A680: Small, light CDMA clamshell with VGA camera, video recording, flash, dual color displays, e-mail, and advanced voice recognition. Available Q2.
SCH-A790: CDMA/GSM phone with VGA digital camera, flash, dual color displays, and advanced voice recognition. Available Q2.
SCH-A690: Samsung's first CDMA Push-To-Talk phone. Features a rugged clamshell design and speakerphone. Available Q2.
SCH-A650: Entry-level CDMA clamshell with voice recognition.

At CTIA Wireless in Atlanta, Samsung is also previewing the SGH-E316 and SGH-E317, two similar clamshell GSM camera phones with dual color displays.

These include the pill-shaped sensor cutout in the display that Apple calls Dynamic Island, a brighter display that can reach 2000 nits, a 48 megapixel main camera, and the A16 Bionic processor chip.

WHERE IS THE SGH-E316?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

TheBugJr22 i am just like you, just a different phone. I want this Samsung SGH-E316 so unbelievably bad. This site says 2nd quarter of 2004, but i cant get more info from anyone, samsung or att. that really bothers me. IF ANYONE HAS ANY INFO ON THIS PHONE, PLEASE LET ME KNOW!!!!! Rich is there anyway for u to get more info?? ALSO FOR ALL U WIRELESS SALES PEOPLE OUT THERE, if u work at att, can u ask ur samsung rep????????? I REALLY WANT TO FIND OUT MORE!!!!! I need a phone by june 17, since im going away for a month, and im trying to decide if i should risk waiting 4 this, or getting the x426 now??? I really like the x426, but it doesnt have external caller id, which bothers me, so this phone looks so good. Thanks

at a guess it will be T-Mobile. Their Samsungs have all ended in '5' recently, going back to the n105, q105, r225, e105, x105, and e715... its a lovely looking phone,

Yea, Samsung, why no a670 in the booth? Does this mean another push back. As good as your service is, will you please get a phone worth my $, that has some up to date software, and features. The best phone you have out is the VX6000, your largest seller, and its definately not as good as some of the phones at other carriers. Why does your service have to be so good that I have to stay with you??????

Rich, if you read this, please give us some info on the a670, some light of hope.

Is this phone the same kind as the SGH-P730, the phone with the round swivel thing on the top of the phone? I didn't think a phone like this would be coming to the Americas. Probably not to United States but to south America and Canada I think. But I can't help but hope it comes to the States. 😁

Yes, it's the same. I don't see why it wouldn't come to the U.S., however I thought it was odd that they didn't have it on display in their booth... 😕

Oh god i just can't take it any more.I want this phone more than God wants it.Where is it? When is it comin out?I have been promised by Verizon that it was comin out in Dec.of 03.Then Jan.of 04,then Feb.,then Mar.,come on now this is getting rediculous now.Is this phone even goin to cure the PTT Verizon problem with the system or no? Cause if not then why even bother to release it at all.Has that PTT problem even been fixed with the V60p or no? Please somebody anybody help me!!!!!!Help me!!!!!! SCH-a670??

Anybody know the status of the a670? I wonder why it wasn't mentioned with the other phones.I hope Verizon is still going to offer it.
