Apple Presses Court for Faster Trial vs. Samsung

Apple has filed a new injunction in its patent case against Samsung, asking that a preliminary ruling be made on four of the patents it believes Samsung is violating. Three of the patents pertain to design, and one pertains to utility. If granted, the injunction would apply to the Galaxy S 4G and the Galaxy Tab 10.1. Apple also asked the court to schedule a court date for February 2012 so that it can more expeditiously settle all its patent litigation against Samsung. The two companies are suing one another over design and technology patents. The lawsuits began when Apple sued Samsung in April, claiming that Samsung copied it smartphone designs.
