Google today updated Maps for Mobile to version 5.7 for the Android platform. Google Maps 5.7 adds a handful of new features, the most important being transit navigation. According to Google, users of public transportation systems in more than 400 cities around the globe can not only plot directions using mass transit, but can use Google Maps 5.7 to get turn-by-turn navigation, including stops, transfers, and more, when using mass transit. The navigation feature will also work in the background when other apps are being used by the owner. The transit navigation feature makes use of real-time GPS data to provide accurate directions, and the software will alert users when it their stop/transfer station is nearing. Google has also improved the behavior of the directions and navigation features, making it easier to jump between the two; it has improved search suggest; and it has aded a photo viewer to the Places pages. Google Maps 5.7 requires Android 2.1 and up, and will work anywhere Google Maps is available.

I want bubble buttons back.

I loved that feature so much, compared to 3D maps and such.

Infact, i feel like Im stuck at 4.7 version just to keep it.

Do you hear me google?
is "bubble buttons"?
