Google Voice Gains Automatic Spam Filtering

Article Comments

Jul 13, 2011, 8:13 AM   by Eric M. Zeman

Google recently added a new feature to its Google Voice service that will automatically detect calls, messages, and texts from known spammers or telemarketer and send them directly to a user's spam folder. The feature must be enabled via Google Voice's online tools. Google Voice users can check the spam filter for mistakenly labeled calls/messages, and can continue to mark unwanted calls/messages as spam if they make it to the user's inbox. The new feature is free to use.
