Foursquare and Google Video were both recently updated for the Android platform. The latest version of Foursquare brings with it a significant refresh of the user interface, and now lumps nearby specials into the Explore tab, while also relocating the check-in button to the upper right corner. The update is free. Google has released an update to the Google Video application that makes it compatible with Android 2.2 Froyo and 2.3 Gingerbread devices (previously it only ran on Android 3.0 Honeycomb). Google Video is the application which allows Android users to rent/buy movies from the Android Market and watch them on their device. The application is free, but rental prices start at $2.99 for a 24-hour window.
