RIM Debuts Management Tool for Really Small Corps
Aug 15, 2011, 12:55 PM by Eric M. Zeman
Research In Motion today announced a new business tool called BlackBerry Management Center for small businesses. The new Management Center is a free offering for companies that have fewer than 100 BlackBerries to manage. It lets small businesses create wireless back-ups (daily, weekly, monthly) of employee devices; remote lock and wipe; locate lost BlackBerries with alarms and GPS-based tools; restore backed-up data to new BlackBerries; and reset user passwords. It is available starting today. For companies that need to manage more than 100 handsets, RIM also offers its BESX service for free. Large businesses that need to manage thousands of devices have to use RIM's full BlackBerry Enterprise Server product.
