According to sources cited by Bloomberg, Research In Motion will enable Android applications to run on its future QNX-based BlackBerries. The forthcoming QNX BlackBerries will run a derivative of RIM's PlayBook OS. RIM has already announced that it is bringing Android applications to the PlayBook via a software emulator. By porting Android applicaitons to its QNX BlackBerries, RIM may be able to boost the appeal of its smartphones, which don't have access to as many applications as Android smartphones do. RIM has said that BlackBerries based on QNX will be available during the first half of 2012. RIM declined to comment on Bloomberg's story.

and os7?

just like os6, it will die without being properly born. 😁
They probably will just test it on the tablets first before their handsets. This is bc its a smaller market then the handsets and if its a problem then it can be fixed and not affect multiple customers as if it were for their handsets.

IF YOU ARE A ANDROID OR APPLE USER COMMING TO RIM........

don't buy these blackberries, wait for the ones with QNX in 2012, if not, you will be very very disapointed.
