Research In Motion today released version 3.0 of BlackBerry App World, which had previously been in beta. The new version of RIM's application store has been revised heavily, and features an entirely new home screen. Users can perform searches directly from the home screen, as well as access categories of apps faster. RIM moved some of the more popular categories to the home screen, as well. RIM says it revised the behavior of the carousel that is used to casually browse through new and featured applications, and the carousel will be updated more frequently. Last, RIM said that it has moved important app details so that they require less digging to find, and added the ability to share apps to Facebook and Twitter. BlackBerry World 3.0 is available for free.
