U.S. Airways Now Offering Phone-based Check-Ins

U.S. Airways today announced that its passengers may begin using their mobile phones as boarding passes. Once customers have checked in online, they'll receive an email with a 2D bar code. The bar code can then be scanned at security and at the gate when boarding the plane, eliminating the need for a paper ticket. U.S. Airways trialled the system at Las Vegas' McCarran Airport. It is now available in 14 different U.S. airports with more planned for later this year.

Just Not Ready!

I tried to do this on my old BB phone a year back with Continental. It never scanned. I had to get off the line, go to a kiosk and printout a boarding pass to get back on the line all over again. Waste of time! I also accidentally delete messages now and again. What happens then? I miss my flight? A great idea but needs a little work first IMHO! 😛
maybe it' your old BB phone with low resolutions, that' the problem.
the bar code is not clear enough to scan.
