T-Mobile Joins Verizon in Defense of Samsung Against Apple

T-Mobile today filed a brief with the U.S. International Trade Commission in support of Samsung in its legal troubles with competitor Apple. "While T-Mobile respects intellectual property rights and believes that owners of intellectual property deserve the right to present their arguments and evidence of infringement in court, a preliminary injunction is a drastic and extraordinary measure, and the courts should pay particular attention to its public consequences," said the company in a statement. Earlier this week, Verizon Wireless voiced its support for Samsung, saying that a ban against Samsung would hurt its sales and its ability to deploy its Long Term Evolution 4G network. Apple and Samsung have a handful of lawsuits over smartphone patents in a growing number of countries around the world.

Just do what Microsoft did

Collect some money for each unit sold. Don't block all untis from being sold.
Apple doesn't care about the money. They care about the mobile landscape. If they simply demand a royalty from the companies that are ripping them off, it's validating Samsung's business model of selling "not-iPhones"
