Apple Checks In with Foursquare Competitor 'Family & Friends'

Apple today announced a new application and service for iPhones called Family and Friends. Similar to Foursquare and Google's Latitude, it allows users to locate one another on a map. According to Apple, the application allows users to set up temporary location-sharing parameters, control their privacy, parental restrictions, and opt out at any time. Apple didn't say when the application would become available.

uproar?

Where is all the uproar? People were all kinds of upset and stories were circulating about people tracking each other when Google came out with Latitude. So now that Apple came out with it, then its all of a sudden acceptable? Give me a break.

Way to copy the leader apple, guess the icrowd needs good apps too.
