Research In Motion recently released BlackBerry Messenger version 6.0.1. The latest version of RIM's messaging software adds a few new features, including a new search tool that lets users pull up the top 25 BBM-connected apps in BlackBerry App World right from BBM. BBM 6.0.1 also lets users share app-specific content with BBM contacts regardless of whether the contact has the app installed; and users can now invite BBM 5.0 and BBM 6.0 contacts to join BBM-connected app experiences. The update is free and available from BlackBerry App World.
